Two crew members of the Chilean aerobatic patrol "Los Halcones" died after crashing in an Extra 300L in Quintero (Chile).

The Extra 300L plane of the aerobatic patrol "Halcones de la Fuerza Aérea Chilena" (FACH) crashed on March 15 while they were performing a maintenance flight near the city of Quintero (Chile).

According to the official press release from the Chilean Air Force, the pilot at the controls of the Extra, Captain Eduardo Varas de la Fuente, died at the site of the accident, along with the mechanic and non-commissioned officer Cristian García.

The cause of the accident is being investigated by the Aviation Attorney of Santiago.
